Three Types of 2021 Summer Tech Camps to Choose From

We know that when it comes to finding a summer camp experience to immerse oneself in STEM subjects, there’s no one-size-fits-all kind of approach. This is especially the case after the year we’ve just experienced. That’s why Emagination Tech Camps is being sensitive to this and offering a number of different experiences for campers to choose from for the summer.

Emagination Tech, Coding and Virtual Camps

When browsing our website, you’ll see there are three main categories of camps to choose from: tech camps, coding camps, and virtual learning. Here’s how each of those experiences compare to one another.

Tech Camps

We’re incredibly excited to be offering Emagination Tech Camps -- which is our core product -- at all five of our locations during the summer of 2021 (Connecticut, Georgia, Illinois, Massachusetts, and Pennsylvania). There will be day and overnight camp options for campers aged 8 through 17, and after being in this business for more than 35 years, we know exactly what gets the kids excited.

How exactly do we deliver a top-notch technology education with an unforgettable summer camp experience? Well, we give them options! Would you like to stay with us for one week or two weeks? That’s up to you, and it’ll dictate how many tech courses you’ll ultimately take during your time with us.

Oh, and about those tech courses… we have 20 of them for you to choose from between four different categories: Create Digital Art & Media, Learning to Code, Designing Games, and Exploring Engineering.

Coding Camps

Also at each of our five camp locations for the summer of 2021 will be an option to join a coding camp instead of a general tech camp. This option, while it’s still offered in either a day camp format or overnight camp format, is a little more restrictive with regard to overall opportunities to join. This is a two-week immersive STEM experience that’s only offered once at each of our five locations, and it’s typically in the fourth and final session of the summer.

Campers aged 13 to 17 are welcome for this particular option. They’ll learn to code using Java, which is one of the most popular dynamic programming languages. That’s not the only thing they’ll learn, as we’ll spend time showing them how to build applications for Windows, XML Services, distributed components, client server applications, and more.

Are you interested in coding and not yet a teenager? Don’t forget that our general tech camps have coding workshop options in Scratch, Python, Java, C++, and more for campers as young as eight years old.

Virtual Learning

As much as we try to create a “normal” environment for campers, we know the current world we live in is still a ways away from being what it used to be. For a variety of reasons, campers may want to get the experience, but either aren’t comfortable or simply can’t get to one of our locations this summer.

We don’t want you to feel left out! Between week-long, weekend, or one-day crash courses, our qualified instructors will present a professionally developed curriculum virtually and make learning fun with live and interactive lessons.

Whichever option you decide to pursue, we’re excited to help make your summer a little more enjoyable!
